A highly credentialed percussionist, Michael Wheeler writes music for the band, Showdown, featuring lead vocalist, Cindy Lou Harrington.   As a touring member of the band, Steamboat Springs, Wheeler opened for established acts such as Linda Ronstadt and the Who in the 70’s.  Most recently, his performances have included sharing the stage with Kathy Mattea at Atlanta’s Fox Theatre and opening for David Ball and Sawyer Brown.
